Hemispheres 2019

2019 | HERE Arts

In this new work-in-progress piece Hemispheres, stage magicians Vinny DePonto and Geoff Kanick explore the themes of the divided self. Conflicting thoughts, opinions, and behaviors divide us amongst society and ourselves. Hemispheres aspires to make something beautiful of our opposites. More ☞

Hemispheres is a theatrical meditation on the divided mind. In a culture of distraction where we find ourselves being split across platforms; past, present, future; and other ideological and geographic divides, we are asking the questions:

How do we meet?
How do we remember… or forget?
How can we see the whole and the sum of its parts?

Can we see the whole of a sphere?
Can we connect the seen and unseen?
Can we harmonize all the pieces?
