Technical Rider

Performer will be arriving 1 to 2 hours prior to performance start time - please make sure a technical assistant is present to assist with sound/technical aspects as well as provide access to the necessary spaces.

Client shall provide, at the client’s expense, the following:

  1. STAGE: The performance area should ideally measure a minimum of 16 feet wide by 12 feet deep with at least one accessible wing. If performance area is a platform stage, please make sure the sections are securely fastened together. The performance area should be smooth, level, clean, and free of visual obstructions such as unnecessary lecterns, cables, speakers, band or DJ equipment. Two sturdy, flat, standard wood stool’s are also required (or comparable chair) in addition to two standard microphone stands (one on each side of the stage).

  2. STAIRS: Easy access from the audience onto the stage is absolutely necessary. Please provide stairs that lead directly into the audience from the middle of the stage.

  3. A/V: A quality sound system capable of mixing 4 channels of voice and music and a sound technician. Please insure there is:

    a) One wireless lavaliere microphone with fresh batteries for the performer.

    b) A mixer with accessible volume, EQ, bass and treble controls.

    c) Minimum of two speakers (placed at each side of the stage).

    d) A spare channel in the mixer (RCA or 1/8 inch jack). Preferably at the foot of the stage.

  5. SEATING: Seating should be no more than 7’ (feet) from the stage with an aisle down the middle if possible (unless there are public health restrictions).

  6. DRESSING ROOM: Please provide a private, non-smoking, and secure room near the performance area (not a men’s bathroom). The room should have a mirror, table, outlet, chair, a bottle of water, and a nearby bathroom.

  8. COLLATERAL USE: The show cannot be photographed, audio-recorded, or filmed without advanced permission from the performer.

  9. TRANSPORTATION AND ACCOMMODATIONS: All travel and accommodation costs (hotel, flight) are covered by client - or reimbursed by client to the performer unless otherwise discussed. If necessary please provide a quality hotel room (if there are options available, please choose a hotel with free internet access).
