Third Rail Projects brought their unique blend of immersive performance to LCT3 and invited audiences into the unseen corners of the Claire Tow Theater to explore the world on the other side of the proscenium.
GHOST LIGHT was a performance about performance which navigated through a series of real and dreamlike landscapes beyond the footlights, the glitter, and the greasepaint. It was a benevolent haunting that reflected on the smoke and mirrors, superstitions, and stage magic that conjure the mystique of the theatre.
What a project! I’ve never worked with a more talented group of actors and creators. I designed ghost illusions, levitating objects, sequences of “reversing time” and so much more. This experience was spread through out Lincoln Center’s LCT3 space in the lobby, dressing rooms and closets. The only thing more fun than working on this was seeing it come to life!
